YOGA is a science and a practice that has evolved over a period of thousands of years to deal with physical, mental, emotional and spiritual development. 

 

YOGA means the 'yoking' or union of mind, body and soul, leading towards self-realization.

 

YOGA is a philosophical system that prescribes a way of life.  

 

GOAL OF YOGA is to get into the body so you can get out of it.

*oils the joints, helping to prevent aches, pain and stiffness

*strengthens the bones, helping to prevent osteoporosis

*creates heat in the body, which allows the muscles to stretch without injury

*decreases mental stress, anxiety and helps to prevent depression
